New Zealand will be disappointed to not have Kane Williamson on the field after their regular skipper picked up a thumb fracture just as he had come back. That means Tom Latham will hold captaincy duties once again.
For Afghanistan, the aim will be to play “more positive cricket” and Chennai’s surface could be to their benefit. It would make for an interesting battle.
