Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Asian Games 2023 closing ceremony in Hangzhou, China. After two weeks of sporting extravaganza, the 19th Asian Games comes to a close today. India finished in fourth place, with 107 medals in total, a new record for India. 

Asian Games 2023 closing ceremony: The 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou came to a close on Sunday after two weeks of sporting extravaganza. India finished with a record tally of 107 medals, including 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze medals. This meant India surpassed their 70-medal mark that they set in Jakarta Asian Games in 2018.

Some of India’s notable medallists include Neeraj Chopra, who defended his javelin throw gold, the India men’s and women’s hockey team, the men’s and women’s cricket team and a lot more other medallists.
