पिछले महीने की 7 तारीख से शुरू हुई इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) अब खत्म होने को है। पिछले 48 दिनों के दौरान इस टूर्नामेंट में कई नए रिकॉर्ड बने। हालांकि सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने वाले खिलाड़ी की बात करें तो कमोबेश इसके आंकड़े में कोई खास बदलाव नहीं हुआ है। आईपीएल के 11 सीजन में सिर्फ 3 बार ही भारतीय खिलाड़ी ऑरेंज कैप हासिल कर पाए हैं, 8 बार विदेशी बल्लेबाजों ने ही कब्जा जमाया है। इस बार भी ऑरेंज कैप पर कब्जा विदेशी खिलाड़ी केन विलियम्सन का ही रहा। न्यूजीलैंड और सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के कप्तान केन विलियम्सन ने 685 रन बनाए हैं। आईपीएल-2017 तक 4 मौके ही ऐसे आए जब किसी टीम के कप्तान को ऑरेंज कैप मिली हो। इस सीजन में अभी विलियम्सन के पास ऑरेंज कैप है और टूर्नामेंट खत्म होने तक उन्हीं के पास बने रहने की संभावना भी है।

BPL: इलेक्शन की वजह से अब अगले साल जनवरी में होगी बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट प्रीमियर लीग

बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट बोर्ड यानी BCB ने कहा है कि देश में आम चुनावों को देखते हुए इस साल बांग्लादेश प्रीमियर लीग (BPL) का आयोजन अगले साल जनवरी में किया जाएगा। आमतौर पर इस लीग का आयोजन अक्टूबर महीने में किया जाता है। माना जा रहा है कि बांग्लादेश में आम चुनाव दिसंबर में होंगे। इसकी वजह से इस लीग के छठवें संस्करण की तैयारियों पर असर पड़ सकता है। लिहाजा, अब टूर्नामेंट का आयोजन 2019 में 5 जनवरी से कराने का फैसला लिया गया है। इस बारे में फ्रेंचाइजीस और लीग की गवर्निंग काउंसिल के बीच सहमति बन चुकी है।
