MotoGP Bharat 2023: Complete schedule, tickets and live streaming details

India are gearing up for its first-ever MotoGP race, MotoGP Bharat, set to take place this weekend. Preparations for this event have been in full swing at the Buddh International Circuit. The initial shipment of motorcycles and equipment is already making its way to Greater Noida.

This will be the 13th leg of the illustrious MotoGP series and is quite significant for India since it takes place at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC). This has already hosted three Formula 1 races between 2011 and 2013. The Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix was discontinued from the calendar after the 2013 season owing to a number of impediments around taxation and several bureaucratic challenges.

Some riders and team officials slated to participate in India’s inaugural MotoGP round, including the six-time champion Marc Marquez, are awaiting their visas. Repsol Honda Team sources have already confirmed that visa issues have caused a delay in the arrival of their riders, Marquez and Joan Mir, in India.

Dorna Sports – the organisers of the event as well as the rights holders, have partnered with local promoters Fairstreet Sports through a seven-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) in order to bring MotoGP to India. How the weekend pans out will determine the future of the event.

For fans who want to witness the thrill of MotoGP Bharat 2023 live, tickets are available on BookMyShow, ranging from Rs 800 to Rs 1,80,000. It should be mentioned here that tickets priced at Rs 800 and Rs 10,000 have already been sold out, granting fans access to all three days of the event.

All the action of MotoGP Bharat 2023 will be broadcast live on the Sports18 channel in India and will also be available for streaming on JioCinema.
