Asian Games 2023 LIVE UPDATES: India enjoyed a flurry of medals on the fourth day at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. The tri-colour went up eight times across the day with seven medals coming in shooting and one in sailing. India were also assured of a medal in tennis.

Women’s Rifle 3 Positions, Women’s 25m Pistol and Men’s Skeet teams won gold, gold and bronze respectively. Sift Kaur Samra created a world record to win an individual gold in Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions and Ashi Chouksey bagged a bronze medal. Esha Singh and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka won silver medals in Women’s 25m Pistol and Men’s Skeet individual events too. Vishnu Saravanan bagged India’s third medal in sailing in Hangzhou.

On Day 5, India will once again pin their hopes on the shooters with 10m Air Pistol and Skeed Mixed Team events carrying medal chances. Elsewhere, India men’s hockey team will possibly face their biggest test at the Games when they take on Japan. In men’s football, India can expect a tough day against Saudi Arabia. A medal is also confirmed in Wushu courtesy Roshibina Devi Naorem.
