IPL 2024 mini-auction will witness teams bolster their squads further after retaining and trading players. With 333 players up for grabs and 77 slots to fill across 10 franchises, it is going to ensure big paydays for many and tussle for players that would otherwise go unsold or not grab attention at mega auctions.
This auction is taking place at the Coco Cola Arena in Dubai – the first time an auction is taking place outside the country. In another first, Mallika Sagar will be the mistress of ceremonies – first woman to conduct the IPL auction.
At the IPL 2024 Auction, each team has the flexibility to maintain a squad ranging from a minimum of 18 players to a maximum of 25. Additionally, teams can spend a total of Rs 100 crore on players.
