19:19 (IST)

With the victory, Delhi Capitals are now top of the table with eight victories from 10 matches. Rajasthan are sixth with eight points to their name.

Thank you for joining with us. Have a good day.

19:13 (IST)

Done and dusted!

Delhi bowlers put up a splendid show to seal the win by 33 runs. Sanju Samson remains unbeaten on 70 but he didn't get any support from other batsmen.

19:09 (IST)

After 19 overs,Rajasthan Royals 110/6 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 60 , Tabraiz Shamsi 1)

After the boundary, Rabada does well with his slow bouncer to beat Samson. The Rajasthan skipper then offer a simple catching chance to Dhawan at deep point but he spills it. Lack of a concentration from the fielder and then the keeper who who doesn't take the throw properly allowing the batsmen to take one extra run. Nine off the over. Delhi on the cusp of a good win.

19:05 (IST)

Samson against Rabada and he scoops it through third man. Clever!

19:04 (IST)

After 18 overs,Rajasthan Royals 101/6 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 53 , Tabraiz Shamsi 1)

Tabraiz Shamsi walks to the middle to give company to his captain. He's off the mark after a misfield at cover. Samson faces only one ball in the over and it's a solid yorker which results in only one run. Nortje concedes only two runs and takes a wicket. RR need 54 in 12 balls so they need a miracle.

18:59 (IST)

Tewatia departs!

Short by Nortje, Tewatia pulls it straight to the fielder at fine-leg. Rahul Tewatia c Hetmyer b Nortje 9(15)

18:57 (IST)

After 17 overs,Rajasthan Royals 99/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 52 , Rahul Tewatia 9)

Avesh Khan into the attack. He starts off with a good yorker as Tewatia sweeps for a single. Samson completes his half-century after taking a double through mid-wicket. Fifty in 39 balls, a good effort but they'll need more from him. He then tries a big shot, gets an inside edge for just one run. Tewatia sends one in the air towards long-on but it bounces before going to the fielder. Another solid yorker by Avesh who ensures Samson can only take a single. The final ball is a full-toss outside off, Tewatia sends to towards long-off for a single. The asking rate is now 18.67.

18:51 (IST)

After 16 overs,Rajasthan Royals 91/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 48 , Rahul Tewatia 6)

Axar has the ball now. Tewatia with a reverse-slap in front of square. The ball is in the air but falls safely as deep square fielder cuts it off. Samson then plays a reverse sweep for a boundary and takes a double in the next ball after pushing it towards deep-midwicket area. Nine off this one, not a bad one for Delhi. RR need 65 runs from 24 balls.

18:49 (IST)

Samson gets his reverse-sweep right. Through backward point and into the gap.

18:46 (IST)

After 15 overs,Rajasthan Royals 82/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 41 , Rahul Tewatia 4)

Costly over for Delhi. Rabada into the attack and he concedes three boundaries. Samson can play blinders to take the match away so Delhi have to be really careful. Tewatia can also hit the ball big. The asking rate is 14.6 so there's only one route both Samson and Tewatia can take now.

18:44 (IST)

Another one. Short and Samson pulls through square.

18:44 (IST)

Short and outside off stump, Samson picks it up and hits it over the mid-off.

18:42 (IST)

Slow ball, down the leg by Rabada. Samson flicks through his hips for a boundary.

18:41 (IST)

After 14 overs,Rajasthan Royals 68/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 28 , Rahul Tewatia 3)

Nortje into the attack. Samson goes for a slog, gets the elevation but not the distance as the ball falls safely behind mid-wicket. A four and then Samson takes a single to get off strike. Tewatia hooks and does well to keep it grounded for a single. Nine off the over but this won't do. The required run-rate is 14.5.

18:37 (IST)

Nicely done. Samson uses the pace of the ball to guide it past the third man fielder.

18:36 (IST)

After 13 overs,Rajasthan Royals 59/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 20 , Rahul Tewatia 2)

Ashwin completes his quota of overs. Superb spell by the off-spinner who gives away only 20 runs from his four overs with a wicket to his name. There's a LBW appeal against Samson who misses his reverse sweep but umpire is not interested. RR need 96 runs in 42 balls. Looks very tough.

18:34 (IST)

After 12 overs,Rajasthan Royals 56/5 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 20 , Rahul Tewatia 1)

Delhi's bowling attack is something. The pace department has the likes of Rabada and Nortje who chip in regularly with wickets and the spin department also delivers thanks to Axar and Ashwin. Also, good captaincy so far by Rishabh Pant.

18:30 (IST)

BOWLED!

Axar sends a quicker one, Parag tries a pull but misses the ball completely. Riyan Parag b Axar 2(7)

18:29 (IST)

Quicker ball by Axar, Samson opens the face of the bat and guides the ball past short third man for a welcome boundary.

18:28 (IST)

After 11 overs,Rajasthan Royals 49/4 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 15 , Riyan Parag 1)

Riyan Parag is the new batsman after Lomror's dismissal and he faces a good yorker from Rabada. Does well with his block. Superb stuff Rabada who gives away only 1 run plus a wicket to his name. Sanju Samson is still out there so all's not over yet but Rajasthan are in pressure.

18:25 (IST)

Lomror departs!

Short ball by Rabada, Lomror goes for the pull, gets the connection but the ball finds the fielder at fine-leg. Lomror c Avesh Khan b Rabada 19(24)

18:23 (IST)

After 10 overs, Rajasthan Royals 48/3

Axar Patel continues. Lomror is off the strike with a single down long-on. Samson goes for his reverse-sweep, but doesn't get the timing right. The short third man fielder cuts it off as batsmen take a quick single. Good over for Delhi, just five from this one.

18:18 (IST)

After 9 overs, Rajasthan Royals 43/3

Ashwin's third over. Lomror does well to find his range after stepping up to Ashwin. It's not an easy option but Lomror does well to get the connection for a six over straight boundary. Three singles after the maximum and umpire signals a timeout. Rajasthan need 112 runs in 66  balls.

18:15 (IST)

Much-needed maximum. Lomror steps up against Ashwin and clears the straight boundary.

18:14 (IST)

After 8 overs,Rajasthan Royals 34/3 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 12 , Mahipal Lomror 8)

Axar Patel into the attack. A single and then he bowl down the leg for a wide. The field has opened up so not many gaps for the batsmen. Samson and Lomror deal only in singles in this over. Six off it.

18:11 (IST)

After 7 overs,Rajasthan Royals 28/3 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 10 , Mahipal Lomror 5)

Ashwin continues. Lomror goes deep in the crease and pulls towards deep mid-wicket for one run. Samson then shows his skills with a lovely reverse sweep for a boundary. He finds the gap on the off-side, beating the short third-man. Seven off the over.

18:08 (IST)

Nicely done. Samson with the reverse sweep and he executes it perfectly against Ashwin.

18:07 (IST)

After 6 overs,Rajasthan Royals 21/3 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 5 , Mahipal Lomror 3)

Kagiso Rabada is introduced into the attack. Good change of pace by the bowler as Lomror is happy to block the deliveries. Another solid over for Delhi and that's the end of powerplay. Rajasthan's required run-rate has gone up to 9.57 but plenty of time left in this match.

18:03 (IST)

After 5 overs,Rajasthan Royals 19/3 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 4 , Mahipal Lomror 2)

Beauty of a first ball by Ashwin. The flight deceives Miller who steps out for the big shot but is nowhere near the ball. Just two from this over. Delhi needed quick wickets, defending a modest target and they got it. Pressure on Sanju Samson. Mahipal Lomror is the new batsman in the middle.

18:00 (IST)

Ashwin strikes!

Miller charges ahead but misses the ball. Pant does the rest. Miller st Pant b Ashwin 7(10)

17:59 (IST)

After 4 overs,Rajasthan Royals 17/2 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 4 , David Miller 7)

Nortje continues. Good-looking drive by Samson but the ball is straight to the fielder at cover. A LBW appeal against Samson but he gets a big inside edge onto the pads. Nortje is generation good pace, as expected. The final ball is a bouncer, Samson is late on his pull, it brushes the grill of his helmet as Pant takes the catch. Umpire gives it out because he thinks the batsman gloved it but that's why DRS is there. Samson doesn't take too long for review he's right. But this was a superb ball, which took Samson by surprise.

17:52 (IST)

After 3 overs,Rajasthan Royals 15/2 ( Sanju Samson (C) (W) 3 , David Miller 6)

Avesh Khan continues. A dot and then Miller gets off the strike after guiding the ball towards third man. Two more singles and then Avesh bowls a short ball which bounces on to the batter's chest. Awkward for Samson. A single down the third man and Samson will keep strike.

17:48 (IST)

Rajasthan 11/1 after 1 overs

Not sure how the umpire missed the big edge from Jaiswal. There was noise and players looked utterly convinced. Thanks for the DRS, justice prevailed. Sanju Samson and David Miller are the new batsmen after the dismissals of Rajasthan openers. Two singles and then Miller finds the gap in the mid-wicket region for three runs.

17:44 (IST)

Another edge and another dismissal.

Nortje removes Jaiswal who edges it to the keeper. Umpire is not convinced but they take the review and it's the right call by Pant. What a start for Delhi. Jaiswal c Pant b Nortje 5(4)

17:42 (IST)

Rajasthan 6/1 after 1 over.

Avesh starts with a fuller delivery outside off stump, Livingstone steps out and pushes it down towards mid-off for a single. Jaiswal then takes a double after beating the point fielder with his cut. The fourth ball is short and wide, Jaiswal cuts uppishly and the ball lands safely as the batsmen run three. It's a superb over considering they got rid of dangerous Livingstone.

17:41 (IST)

Edge and taken!

Livingstone charges, tries to pull the short ball but gets an edge and Pant completes the catch. Big wicket for Delhi. Livingstone c Pant b Avesh Khan 1(3)

17:36 (IST)

Time for the chase. Interestingly, Liam Livingstone is out to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Avesh Khan has the ball.

17:22 (IST)

After 20 overs,Delhi Capitals 154/6 ( Lalit Yadav 14 , Ravichandran Ashwin 6)

DC post 154/6! Slower, slower, slower, slower, slower, slower. Six slower deliveries from Mustafizur in that over. The batsmen couldn't connect them off the middle. There was a comical run out miss where the batsmen ran through for a leg bye and the bowler missed a direct hit from a close range at the bowler's end. It allowed the batsmen an extra run. There were three twos taken in the over. Still, a good one as he didn't concede a boundary. 9 runs off the over.

17:17 (IST)

After 19 overs,Delhi Capitals 145/6 ( Lalit Yadav 12 , Ravichandran Ashwin 1)

A good comeback from Sakariya. He was hit for a six off the first ball and then followed it up with a WIDE! He then bounced back to take the wicket of Axar Patel and gave away just three singles off the last four balls. 10 runs and a wicket off the over.

17:13 (IST)

OUT! Sakariya gets his revenge. It's slower and wide outside off, Axar fetches it from way outside off and looks to smash it over long on, doesn't connect it well and hits it straight into the hands of the long on fielder.

17:12 (IST)

SIX! In the slot outside off from Sakariya, Axar stays in his crease and smashes it over long on.

17:11 (IST)

Sakariya back on...

17:10 (IST)

After 18 overs,Delhi Capitals 135/5 ( Lalit Yadav 10 , Axar Patel 6)

A mixed over from Tyagi in terms of accuracy. He darts in a very good yorker which Yadav misses. But also bowls a couple of WIDES and a low full toss is put away for a four. 11 runs off the over. A good one for DC

17:09 (IST)

FOUR! The fielder should have done well there! Low full toss outside off, Yadav sweeps it, the square leg fielder can't stop it and it runs away to the fence.

17:03 (IST)

After 17 overs,Delhi Capitals 124/5 ( Lalit Yadav 5 , Axar Patel 2)

Off cutters, yorkers, very full deliveries. Mustafiur shows his range in that over. He gets the wicket of the dangerous looking Hetmyer. And gives away just 4 singles in the over.

17:00 (IST)

OUT! Brilliant from Mustafizur. It's very full outside off, Hetmyer looks to smash it down the ground but gets an outside edge to short third man where Sakariya makes no mistake.

16:58 (IST)

After 16 overs,Delhi Capitals 120/4 ( Shimron Hetmyer 28 , Lalit Yadav 3)

Hetmyer is playing a gem here. After a leg bye and a wide, Hetmyer smashes low full toss through backward point and then manufactures another four off a good length ball through the same region. After a couple of singles, Hetmyer then upper cuts one over short third man for the third four of the over. 16 off it. HUGE OVER FOR DC.

16:57 (IST)

FOUR! 3rd of the over. Nicely done by Hetmyer. Backs away and upper cuts it over short third man.

16:54 (IST)

FOURS! 2 in 2! Poor from Tyagi! Full toss outside off, Hetmyer slices it wide of backward point. Hetmyer then makes some room and slashes the next one through the same region.

16:51 (IST)

Tyagi back on....

Live Score DC vs RR Highlights, IPL 2021, Today's Match: Done and dusted!
Delhi bowlers put up a splendid show to seal the win by 33 runs. Sanju Samson remains unnbeaten on 70 but he didn't get any support from other batsmen.

Preview: Delhi Capitals take on Rajasthan Royals in the 36th match of IPL 2021 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

DC and RR started off with wins in the second leg, however, the manner of their wins was a touch contrasting. DC put on a dominant performance to beat SRH by 8 wickets while RR pulled off a coup by snatching a win from the hands of defeat against PBKS.

DC had their express combo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje back together and it clicked. The duo combined to take five wickets and concede just 49 runs from 8 overs combined. Axar Patel too chipped in with two wickets as the bowlers put on a good show to restrict SRH to just 134.

Chasing the target, DC lost Prithvi Shaw early but Shikhar Dhawan carried on his good form and hit 42 off 37 balls as he and Shreyas Iyer stabilised proceedings. Captain Rishabh Pant then played a mature innings of 35 off 21 to finish off the match along with Iyer with 2.5 overs to spare.

Almost everything went right for DC apart from the fact that they lost Marcus Stoinis to a hamstring injury pretty early in the match. DC would be sweating on his fitness as he is a key player in their line-up. In case he misses out, DC might look at Tom Curran to fill that all-rounder's spot. Or they have the option to add an extra batsman in Sam Billings or Steve Smith. There is also an option to include left-arm Australian pacer Ben Dwarshius who impressed in the BBL.

DC didn't do too much wrong in the match against SRH and they would be looking to carry forward the momentum into the RR match.

RR, on the other hand, looked down and out against Punjab Kings. PBKS needed just 8 runs from the final two overs but Mustafizur Rahman bowled a frugal penultimate over and then Kartik Tyagi bowled a brilliant final over to defend 4 runs and win it for RR.

Batting first, RR got off to a good start as openers Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal put on 54 runs for the opening wicket. Mahipal Lomror then played a brisk cameo of 17-ball 43 but they lost their way at the death. At one point they looked on course for a 200 plus total but they ended up well short with 185.

In the bowling department, Chetan Sakariya and Morris went for plenty and they would look to bounce back hard.

It was a jailbreak against PBKS and RR would look for a much-improved performance against a formidable DC side. They wouldn't look to change the winning combination.

DC are top of the table while RR are fifth and would be looking to climb up the ladder. We can expect a cracking contest.
