India are sending a 215-member contingent for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The multi-sport event will take place from 28 July to 8 August, 2022. The 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games will see many high-profile athletes attempting to bring laurels to their respective countries. Among the participant countries, India have been a strong performer. Some of the star athletes for India are javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, shuttlers PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen and sprinter Hima Das.
There will be added eyes in India with the inclusion of cricket. Women's T20 has been included as an event for the first time.
