CWG 2022 Day 1-0 preview: Indian won 4 medals on Saturday and the tally is now up to 40. Ravi Kumar, Vinesh Phogat and Naveen Kumar won gold in wrestling while Bhavina Patel won the top prize in para table tennis. Three more silver and seven bronze came on Day 9. Looking to extend India's dominance on Sunday will be the women's hockey team that faces New Zealand in the bronze medal match.
Boxers Amith Panghal, Nikhat Zareen, Nitu and Sagar will be playing gold medal matches. In table tennis. Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan will be playing the men's doubles final. Sharath and Sreeja will play mixed doubles gold medal match. Sreeja will also play the bronze medal match in women's singles. Sharath and Sathoyan will also be in action n their respective men's singles semi-final matches.
Indian cricket team will be taking on heavyweights Australia in the gold medal match. This is the first time women's cricket has been included in CWG. In badminton, PV Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi and Lakshya Sen will be in action in single semis. Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will play in the women's doubles semis while Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will play men's doubles last four match.
With no Neeraj Chopra in action, Rohit Yadav will lead India's challenge in the javelin throw men's final. Annu Rani will compete in the women's event. Dipika Pallikal and Sourav Ghosal will play the bronze medal match in mixed doubles squash.
