Force India renamed as to Racing Point F1 after 11 years of competing; Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll to race for team in 2019

The team, who became Force India in 2008 after Vijay Mallya bought Spyker F1, were taken over in August by Lawrence Stroll after going into administration.
